Blue Jackets' Anisimov leaves game on stretcher

Detroit, MI (Sports Network) - Columbus Blue Jackets center Artem Anisimov was taken out Thursday's game against the Detroit Red Wings on a stretcher.

Early in the second period, Anisimov tripped over Detroit's Ian White and fell to the ice. As he was falling, Detroit's Kyle Quincey alo fell to the ice and his elbow came down on the head of Anisimov. After several minutes on the ground, he was taken into the locker room on a stretcher.

It was later announced that he was awake and responsive and had been taken to Detroit Medical Center.

Anisimov has four goals and two assists in 15 games this season, his fifth in the NHL.
