Description: Texans QB Matt Schaub threw for 343 yards Sunday against the Patriots.
Insight: Schaub's 25-yard strike to DeVier Posey in the fourth quarter was his first career postseason touchdown. He threw for another one six minutes later to cut New England's lead to just 10 points. Sunday was Schaub's third 300-yard game of the season and his first one since Thanksgiving.

1/5/2013 9:16:00 PM
Description: Houston quarterback Matt Schaub completed 29-of-38 passes for 262 yards and an interception Saturday in his first career playoff victory.
Insight: This wasn't Schaub's best effort but certainly the Texans (losers of three out of four to end the regular season) were happy to get the win. Next, Houston will head to Foxborough to take on the AFC East Champion Patriots. New England blew the Texans out when they played in Week 14 (42-14).

11/18/2012 6:19:00 PM
Description: Texans QB Matt Schaub registered an amazing 527 yards passing and five touchdowns Sunday against the Jaguars.
Insight: The 527 yards tied Warren Moon for the second-most ever in an NFL game. If Schaub wasn't on the fantasy radar before this game he certainly will be now.

Cold10/15/2012 10:36:00 AM
Description: Houston QB Matt Schaub had his worst game of the year Sunday against the Packers.
Insight: The ninth-year quarterback was picked off twice and failed to reach 250 yards passing for the third week in a row. Schaub's QB rating over the past two weeks is a dismal 63.6.

9/28/2012 2:49:00 PM
Description: Texans quarterback Matt Schaub is dealing with shoulder problems but was a full participant in Thursday's practice
Insight: Schaub had a huge Week 3 against Denver throwing for 290 yards and four touchdowns. He'll face a Titans team that gave up 400 yards passing last week. He's a must-start.

9/9/2012 7:02:00 PM
Description: Adam Schefter of ESPN tweeted Sunday that the Texans and quarterback Matt Schaub have agreed to a four-year, $62 million contract extension.
Insight: Schaub missed half of last season with a foot injury but he looked sharp in his return to the field Sunday versus the Dolphins. The 31-year-old threw for 266 yards and a touchdown on 31 passing attempts. He did not throw an interception.

8/18/2012 10:45:00 PM
Description: Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub looked very good in the team's preseason game Saturday against the Bears, completing 11-of-14 for 128 yards and a touchdown.
Insight: Schaub is an injury risk but if he plays a full season like he did in 2009 and 2010 he's a near-lock to post top-10 quarterback numbers, even if the Texans are likely to favor the running game.

6/9/2012 11:17:00 AM
Description: Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub is expected to be 100-percent when training camp begins this July. Schaub missed the final six games of 2011 and the playoffs after Lisfranc surgery on his right foot last November.
Insight: Great news for Andre Johnson fans as Schaub threw for more than 4,300 yards in each of the two seasons before the injury. It won't hurt running back Arian Foster either, now that the defense will have to respect the Schaub-to-Johnson hookup and can't crowd the line of scrimmage.

Description: Houston Texans owner Bob McNair confirmed that the texans are not in the hunt for Peyton Manning. Source: Houston Chronicle
Insight: When he and his receivers are healthy, Matt Schaub can be a very good fantasy quarterback. Schaub threw for 4,000-plus yards in both 2009 and 2010, but posted just 2,479 yards this season after a damaged Lisfranc ligament ended his season prematurely. Schaub should be a starting fantasy quarterback again in 2012, though not top-five.

Description: Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub suffered a "significant" foot injury in Week 10 vs. Tampa Bay and could miss up to four weeks. SOURCE: ESPN'S ADAM SCHEFTER VIA ESPN TV
Insight: Houston Texans QB Matt Schaub suffered a "significant" foot injury in Week 10 vs. Tampa Bay and could miss up to four weeks. The good news is... this is a run-first football team and much of their offense has come through Arian Foster and Ben Tate. The bad news is... Matt Leinart is their backup and he's been a major NFL bust. Granted, when the Texans return from their bye week, Andre Johnson is expected to be back, meaning Leinart will have a legit WR1 to throw to.

Description: Schaub threw for 253 yards and a touchdown in the Week 17 win over Jacksonville.
Insight: Schaub tallied his fewest passing yards since Week 12 in Sunday's win over Jacksonville, but he also attempted his fewest passes since Week 1. (RapidDraft.com)

12/3/2010 10:02:00 AM
Description: Schaub threw for 337 yards and two touchdowns in the Thursday night loss to the Eagles. It was his second largest yardage total of the season.
Insight: Schaub left briefly after getting his bell rung but returned soon thereafter. That makes it clear he didn't suffer a concussion, and though he could be seen holding his right knee at one point, that also didn't pose a problem. (RapidDraft.com)

11/22/2010 11:00:00 AM
Description: Schaub threw for 254 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Jets. He was also seen limping in the second half after taking a shot to his ailing knee but didn't leave the game.
Insight: Schaub appears likely to play through the knee issue that cropped up heading into Week 11, but it doesn't help the outlook for a guy who has been one of the season's most disappointing fantasy quarterbacks. (RapidDraft.com)

11/20/2010 2:03:00 PM
Description: Schaub is listed as questionable for Week 11 following the midweek bursa sac issue that put him in the hospital.
Insight: Schaub did practice in full on Friday, though, and is expected to play. Of course, the matchup with the Jets makes him a poor fantasy option even if his knee doesn't. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: After being hospitalized for an inflamed bursa sac in his knee Tuesday night, Texans QB Matt Schaub is expected to test out the knee in Thursday's practice. SOURCE: ESPN.COM
Insight: It's possible that the team will call Schaub a game-time decision to see if his knee holds up in pregame warmups. We currently have Schaub ranked No. 18 because of the injury and because of the matchup against the Jets. Sit Schaub if possible this week.

11/17/2010 4:08:00 PM
Description: According to Texans HC Gary Kubiak, QB Matt Schaub had to be hospitalized Tuesday night with a bursa sac problem in his knee. SOURCE: TWITTER Texans coach Gary Kubiak revealed that Matt Schaub was hospitalized Tuesday night with a bursa sac problem in his knee.
Insight: Kubiak said Schaub should be back with the team Thursday, but didn't reveal if the quarterback underwent surgery. This weekend might be a good time to bench Schaub considering this new revelation, plus Andre Johnson being matched up against you-know-who.

11/7/2010 10:03:00 PM
Description: Schaub appeared to suffer an upper body injury during Sunday's game, but he and coach Gary Kubiak both said afterward that it was nothing. Schaub didn't miss a play in the game.
Insight: Schaub threw for a decent 266 yards in the loss to San Diego but no touchdowns. He has been a fairly big fantasy disappointment this season. (RapidDraft.com)

9/27/2010 1:04:00 AM
Description: Schaub threw for 241 yards but just one touchdown on Sunday. He added two interceptions as well.
Insight: It was not a terrific day for Schaub, especially considering the strong outing Jay Cutler had at Dallas the week before. The whole offense should be able to get more going against the Raiders in Week 4. (RapidDraft.com)

9/19/2010 7:38:00 PM
Description: The Texans went from a running team in Week 1 to a passing team in Week 2 as they came from 27-10 down to beat the Washington Redskins in overtime, 30-27. QB Matt Schaub completed 38 of 52 passes for 497 yards and three touchdowns while Arian Foster carried the ball 19 times for just 69 yards.
Insight: It's amazing what a week can do to fantasy numbers. One week after Foster rushed for 231 yards and 3 TDs, he couldn't find the end zone in Week 2 against a very tough Washington run defense. Schaub, after throwing just 17 passes in Week 1, led the league in passing attempts and yards in the win. Both Foster and Schaub are every week starts in most fantasy league formats from here on out.

9/13/2010 8:03:00 PM
Description: Amid the dominating performance of Arian Foster, Schaub attempted just 17 passes in the Week 1 victory over the Colts, completing nine. He added a touchdown and an interception.
Insight: Schaub had just one game with fewer than 30 attempts last year and never threw fewer than 22 times in a game. Don't get used to this kind of imbalance. (RapidDraft.com)
