Description: The Redskins and cornerback DeAngelo Hall have agreed to a four-year extension. SOURCE: Ian Rapoport, NFL Network
Insight: The deal is worth $17 million. It's clear Hall isn't the same player he was when he earned consecutive Pro Bowl nods in 2005-06. The Redskins will probably regret this contract in a few years.

Description: The Redskins have released cornerback DeAngelo Hall.
Insight: The move frees up about $8 million in cap room. Head coach Mike Shanahan mentioned that the Redskins would be willing to take Hall back if he accepted a significant pay cut. Hall recorded 95 tackles and four interceptions in 16 games last season. He should garner plenty of interest in free agency.

Description: Washington cornerback DeAngelo Hall was fined $30,000 by the NFL for an altercation he had with a referee earlier in the season.
Insight: The incident occurred October 28th in a loss to the Steelers. Hall did not receive a suspension so he will be active for Sunday's game against Philadelphia.

Description: Redskins CB DeAngelo Hall injured his right hamstring after chasing Jags TE Marcedes Lewis in Week 16.
Insight: It looked pretty bad, giving us the impression he might not return.

Description: Hall tied an NFL record with four interceptions, including returning one for a 92-yard touchdown, against Chicago on Sunday.
Insight: Hall now has five interceptions this season, which is one shy of his career high. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: Hall has re-signed with Washington, reportedly agreeing to a six-year, $54 million deal. Hall joined the team during the 2008 season after the Raiders released him.
Insight: Washington also dumped corner Shawn Springs to create cap space, which should help to ensure that Hall is a starter next season. The last time he got big money (less than a year ago), Hall played well enough to get booted by the Raiders in the middle of the first season on a seven-year deal. He was putting up good IDP numbers at the time, though. As long as he can keep from alienating his coaches to the point of getting benched, he should be a pretty solid fantasy option. (SportsBuff.com)
