Description: Lakers forward Antawn Jamison (wrist) sat out the final eight minutes Wednesday with a "stinger" in his injured right wrist but he says he will play Thursday against Milwaukee. SOURCE: LA Daily News
Insight: Jamison will play through a slight tear in his right wrist for the rest of the season and could be a decent fantasy option with Metta World Peace done for the year with a torn meniscus. Jamison had 18 points and five rebounds in 26 minutes Wednesday.

Description: Lakers backup power forward Antawn Jamison is probable for Monday's game against Golden State. He's dealing with a partially torn ligament in right wrist.
Insight: He suffered the injury Friday against the Wizards. With Pau Gasol returning to the lineup Friday, Jamison isn't going to be much of a fantasy option anyway.

Description: Lakers forward Antawn Jamison has a slight tear in his shooting wrist but he's "going to gut it out," according to Ramona Shelburne of ESPNLosAngeles.com.
Insight: Jamison had an MRI on his injured wrist Saturday. He suffered the injury Friday against the Wizards. With Pau Gasol returning to the lineup Friday, Jamison wasn't going to be much of a fantasy option anyway.

1/8/2013 10:48:00 PM
Description: Lakers PF Antawn Jamison only played 24 minutes and scored seven points on 3-of-7 shooting Tuesday against the Rockets even though Los Angeles was without Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill.
Insight: Robert Sacre started at center and Metta World Peace at power forward. Anyone hoping Jamison would be in for increased playing time due to the Lakers' injury situation can move on.

1/8/2013 10:53:00 AM
Description: Lakers PF Antawn Jamison, who has played all of seven minutes over the past eight games, could be in for a lot of playing time with frontliners Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill all out due to injury.
Insight: He could be worth the gamble. We will find out whether he still has anything left when the Lakers play Houston on Tuesday, but if you have roster space pick him up before the game and trade him after he does well.

Cold12/29/2012 10:56:00 AM
Description: Lakers PF Antawn Jamison has been parked on the bench for five straight games with DNP-CDs.
Insight: And he played just 19 minutes combined in the last two games he played. It's safe to drop the veteran in all leagues.

Cold12/17/2012 10:40:00 AM
Description: Lakers PF Antawn Jamison is stuck on Mike D'Antoni's bench and didn't see much playing time against Philadelphia despite injuries to Pau Gasol and Jordan Hill.
Insight: Jamison played just 13 minutes and didn't score. Starter Devin Ebanks also was held scoreless. The Lakers played a lot of three-guard offense with Dwight Howard and Metta World Peace as the only two big guys.

Description: Los Angeles coach Mike D'Antoni has flip-flopped his power forwards again. Antawn Jamison will start Thursday after Jordan Hill got the nod Tuesday. SOURCE: Dave McMenamin, ESPN
Insight: Jamison (8.0 ppg, 4.6 rpg) is only averaging 7.0 ppg over his last three games after producing 15.9 ppg his previous seven.

Hot12/4/2012 5:54:00 PM
Description: Los Angeles Lakers power forward Antawn Jamison will make a start Tuesday against Houston in place of Pau Gasol (knee).
Insight: Jamison has experienced a resurgence under Mike D'Antoni, averaging 16.2 ppg and 8.6 rebounds over his last five games. Chris Duhon will also start Tuesday, replacing PG Darius Morris, but he's a far less attractive option than Jamison (though he did average 11.1 ppg and 7.2 apg in 37 mpg as New York's starting PG under D'Antoni in 2008-09).

Hot12/1/2012 9:47:00 AM
Description: Los Angeles Lakers power forward Antawn Jamison scored 33 points (13-of-19 FG) with 12 rebounds, two assists, five steals and one block Friday against Denver. He made 5-of-10 from 3-point range.
Insight: Jamison has experienced a resurgence under Mike D'Antoni, averaging 17.8 ppg and 9.5 rebounds over his last four games. Meanwhile, Pau Gasol continues to struggle.

11/25/2012 10:13:00 AM
Description: Antawn Jamison's best two games since joining Los Angeles have come in the last two days. The forward has scored 35 points with 22 boards on 14-of-22 shooting in the last two games, his only two double-digit scoring efforts of the season.
Insight: Jamison finally got some time to shine, playing more than 26 minutes in both games after averaging just 15 mpg over the first 12. Jamison had 19 points and 15 rebounds in 30 minutes Saturday night versus Dallas.

7/18/2012 8:36:00 PM
Description: Forward Antawn Jamison has signed a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. The Nets and Bobcats had also been in the running for Jamison, who turned 36 last month.
Insight: Though Jamison (17.2 ppg, 6.3 rpg for Cleveland last season) will probably have to settle for coming off the bench with Pau Gasol and Metta World Peace ahead of him on the depth chart, he could still be a useful fantasy player in 2012-13. With the exception of his rookie year with Golden State, Jamison has averaged double-digit points every season he has been in the league. That won't change now that he's in L.A.

7/12/2012 7:39:00 PM
Description: The Nets are close to acquiring forward Antawn Jamison in a sign and trade deal with Cleveland.
Insight: Jamison had a strong season for the Cavaliers in 2011-12, posting 17.2 ppg and 6.3 rpg in 65 games. His fantasy value in Brooklyn hinges heavily on whether or not the Nets are able to re-sign Kris Humphries (13.8 ppg, 11 rpg), who plays the same position as Jamison and would likely start over him.

7/6/2012 9:41:00 PM
Description: Free agent forward Antawn Jamison's visit with the Bobcats on Thursday went well.
Insight: Despite his age (36), Jamison performed very well for the Cavaliers last season, posting a solid 17.2 ppg and 6.3 rpg. He should put up similar stats with the Bobcats next season if he signs there.

3/27/2012 3:57:00 PM
Description: Antawn Jamison suffered a left leg contusion Sunday against the Suns, but did come back into the game and coach Byron Scott confirmed that his forward was fine for Tuesday.
Insight: Jamison struggled on Sunday shooting just 1-for-8 against Phoenix. We expect him to be good to go against Philadelphia and should produce more in line with his season average of 18.0 ppg and 6.6 rpg.

3/25/2012 10:30:00 PM
Description: Antawn Jamison suffered a left leg contusion Sunday against the Suns. Jamison was eventually able to return to the game, so the injury doesn't seem too serious.
Insight: Jamison struggled mightily Sunday, finishing with just two points on 1-8 shooting in Cleveland's blowout loss to Phoenix. We're not sure if Jamison's leg was really bothering him or if he just had a bad game. We'll see how he fares Tuesday against the 76ers.

Hot3/5/2012 11:43:00 AM
Description: Since the start of February, Jamison is averaging 21.6 ppg, 8.7 rpg and 2.1 apg.
Insight: Jamison has improved his production in each month since the beginning of the season in points per game, rebounds and assists. Barring injury, there is no reason for him to fade as the Cavs have few weapons other than Jamison and Kyrie Irving in their lineup.

6/21/2011 3:38:00 PM
Description: The NBA Draft is right around the corner, and all indications are that the Cleveland Cavs are going to select Duke PG Kyrie Irving #1 overall.
Insight: They'll spend Tuesday and Wednesday setting up their draft board and debating many options, which could include a trade or two. The Cavs also have two second-round picks (Nos. 32 and 54) and a $14.5 million trade exception, assets they may package with players or owner Dan Gilbert's cash to make deals.

2/28/2011 6:07:00 PM
Description: Antawn Jamison will miss the next 5-to-7 weeks with surgery on his left pinkie SOURCE: Cleveland Plain Dealer
Insight: There's really no reason for Jamison to return to the lineup and seven weeks is the rest of the regular season. He should not be owned in any daily league and with so many players emerging through off the waiver wire, all leagues that can even afford to stash him may discover that it is not even worth it. Samardo Samuels becomes a possibility for owners that need a big man. He got 24 minutes on Saturday and there's a good chance he can hit the 30-minute mark with Cleveland.

2/28/2011 10:00:00 AM
Description: Jamison broke his left (non-shooting) pinkie on Sunday.
Insight: This seems like the kind of injury that a guy will play through, but we'll see Wednesday when the team is set to play next. (RapidDraft.com)
