10/29/2013 10:25:00 PM
Description: Pacers power forward Luis Scola scored eight points over 21 minutes in the season opener.
Insight: Scola is being used strictly as a backup to David West, who played 31 minutes Tuesday, so he won't have much fantasy value.

9/9/2013 3:30:00 PM
Description: When the Suns traded Luis Scola to the Pacers they likely damaged his fantasy value. As backup to David West, Scola doesn't figure to get the same 26 minutes-a-game he averaged with Phoenix.
Insight: Scola averaged 12.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game in his lone season with the Suns. He has averaged 14.2 ppg over his six NBA seasons including a high of 18.3 ppg in 2010-11.

7/27/2013 3:30:00 PM
Description: The Suns have traded Luis Scola to the Pacers for Gerald Green, Miles Plumlee and a 2014 lottery-protected first-round pick.
Insight: It was essentially spare parts for Indiana. Scola received inconsistent minutes and averaged 12.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game in his lone season with the Suns. He'll take Tyler Hansbrough's role as David West's backup. Hansbrough averaged just 17 minutes per game last season.

4/9/2013 10:37:00 PM
Description: Phoenix PF/C Luis Scola burned his old team, the Houston Rockets, for 28 points on 12-of-20 shooting, eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in 38 minutes Tuesday.
Insight: Scola's minutes are inconsistent in the ever-changing Suns lineup. Play him at your own risk.

3/28/2013 10:01:00 AM
Description: Phoenix power forward Luis Scola has averages of 14 points and 6.8 rebounds over his last five games.
Insight: Scola's minutes are inconsistent in the ever-changing Suns lineup. He's playing well now, but it won't be long before interim coach Lindsey Hunter pulls the rug out from under fantasy owners again.

Cold3/15/2013 5:04:00 PM
Description: Phoenix power forward Luis Scola will come off the bench Friday against the Hawks. Suns coach Lindsey Hunter has decided to start Jermaine O'Neal at center.
Insight: Scola is only averaging 22 minutes per game over his last 10 games and averaged 7.5 ppg over his last six. He is no longer a reliable fantasy option.

3/10/2013 9:33:00 AM
Description: Phoenix power forward Luis Scola has only played more than 24 minutes once in his last eight games and is averaging just 22 mpg in that span.
Insight: We really don't know what new coach Lindsey Hunter is trying to accomplish but you'd think a team missing Marcin Gortat and Jermaine O'Neal would want to get Scola more involved.

1/13/2013 10:10:00 AM
Description: Phoenix power forward Luis Scola had his highest scoring game of the month Saturday night with 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting. Scola added seven rebounds, three assists and one steal.
Insight: Scola has seen more playing time since he rejoined the starting lineup. In his last 15 games, he's playing 31 minutes per game and averaging 14.9 points, 6.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.

Hot1/5/2013 11:02:00 AM
Description: Phoenix power forward Luis Scola has had an impressive four-game stretch that has seen him average 23.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.
Insight: Scola only had three points in his first game back in the starting lineup but he's scored at a rate of 15.3 ppg with 8.9 reb, 1.2 stl and 0.8 blk over his last nine contests.

12/29/2012 10:38:00 PM
Description: Phoenix power forward Luis Scola chipped in with a season-high 33 points Saturday in a loss to Minnesota.
Insight: Scola came down with 10 boards as well. Saturday was Scola's sixth double-double of the season and his first since December 17th when he finished with 14 points and 10 assists in a win over the Kings.

12/28/2012 7:26:00 PM
Description: Suns forward Luis Scola scored 12 points with four rebounds, two assists and one steal Friday night against the Pacers in his eighth straight start.
Insight: Scola hasn't seen the expected uptick in production since moving back to the starting lineup. In fact, his minutes, shots, points and rebounds have all dropped off in the last eight games.

12/8/2012 7:26:00 PM
Description: Suns forward Luis Scola had his first double-double since Nov. 14 Saturday against the Clippers, scoring 18 points with 10 rebounds.
Insight: Scola finally seems to be getting used to his bench role. After averaging 9.4 points and 4.7 rebounds over his first seven games coming off the bench, Scola has posted 15.7 ppg and 9.0 rpg in his last three.

11/22/2012 1:11:00 PM
Description: Suns forward Luis Scola came off the bench for the first time this season and played just 18:37 Wednesday against Portland. He only had four points and four rebounds.
Insight: Markieff Morris started at PF and scored 19 points on 9-of-13 shooting with seven rebounds. Phoenix jumped out to a big lead over the Trailblazers so this isn't how its rotation will shake out every game, but Morris could hold onto the starting job for the time being with Scola continuing to come off the bench.

11/15/2012 9:41:00 AM
Description: Suns forward Luis Scola posted 24 points and 14 rebounds Wednesday night before fouling out in a loss to Chicago.
Insight: Scola continues to be a double-double threat every time he steps on the court. He'll have a chance for another one Friday night against the Lakers.

11/5/2012 10:33:00 AM
Description: Phoenix PF Luis Scola has had an impressive opening week averaging 17.3 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 2.0 apg, 1.7 spg and 1.3 bpg over the first three games.
Insight: Scola has the tools to keep up this level of production and fantasy owners should not shy away from the Suns' forward. Small forward Michael Beasley, Scola and center Marcin Gortat make up the Suns' high-scoring frontline.

11/1/2012 10:07:00 AM
Description: Power forward Luis Scola had an impressive game Wednesday in his Phoenix debut.
Insight: Scola scored 15 points while also grabbing 10 rebounds and swatting away three shots. Unfortunately for Suns fans, it wasn't enough as the Warriors held on for an 87-85 win.

7/15/2012 6:16:00 PM
Description: Phoenix snagged former Rockets forward Luis Scola off waivers Sunday. The Rockets used their amnesty clause on Scola this week.
Insight: Houston has gutted its roster in an attempt to acquire Dwight Howard from Orlando, and the Suns have benefitted by signing point guard Goran Dragic and claiming Luis Scola. Phoenix now has a stronger roster than it has had in several years, even with Steve Nash leaving for Los Angeles. Dragic, Scola, Marcin Gortat and Michael Beasley should be attractive fantasy targets this fall.

7/12/2012 7:32:00 PM
Description: Houston used its amnesty clause to waive forward Luis Scola on Thursday. The Rockets are hoping this maneuver will create enough cap room to land Orlando center Dwight Howard.
Insight: The Rockets made a push for Howard in the days leading up to the draft and now that the Nets seem to have moved on from Howard, Houston's interest has been renewed. Either way, this is a pretty risky move on the Rockets' part. Scola was one of the team's top contributors last season, posting 15.5 ppg and 6.5 rpg in 66 games. If Houston fails to bring in Howard, they'll have a difficult time finding someone to replace Scola's steady production at the power forward position.

3/29/2011 10:08:00 PM
Description: Patrick Patterson got an extra boost from the garbage time to allow him to accumulate 23 points and eight boards in 22 minutes. Luis Scola was icing his knee while he was on the bench multiple times only allowing him to log 22 minutes. He didn't provide much with only eight points, eight boards, and four assists.
Insight: The Rockets are in the thick of the playoff race and there's really no chance a tough customer like Scola would want to rest. Expect Scola to improve and Patterson to take a bit of a hit. If possible, swap Patterson for Udoh.

3/20/2011 9:25:00 PM
Description: Pat Patterson was just as good off the bench on Sunday with 14 points, 13 boards, and a block in the win. Luis Scola didn't quite look healthy by playing 20 minutes that yielded a line of four points, eight boards, and three blocks.
Insight: Things should look up for Scola, but there's a chance that Patterson's emergence might take some minutes off Chuck Hayes (36 minutes tonight). Patterson is for deeper leagues at this time and the Rockets only having two games this week will not help his case.
