Insight: Paulino (3-1, 1.67 ERA) started the year on the disabled list with a strained right forearm but returned to post stellar numbers in seven starts before going back on the DL with a strained groin. He made a rehab start with Double-A Northwest Arkansas Wednesday and was expected to rejoin Kansas City's rotation next week, so this is quite a surprise.

Insight: This move will be retroactive to June 7th. Paulino (3-1, 1.67 ERA) has been very fragile this season: he started the year on the DL because of an elbow injury.

Insight: Paulino (3-1) dropped his ERA to 1.70. The right-hander still hasn't exceeded 6 2/3 innings in any start, but he's been excellent nevertheless in six starts this year. He's a must add in all formats.

Description: Felipe Paulino has shut out his opponents in three of his four starts this season. He is currently 2-1 with a 1.42 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 25 1/3 innings.
Insight: Paulino missed all of April with a forearm injury, but he's pitched brilliantly since he returned, striking out more than a batter per inning. Impressively, two of his three shutout performances came against the Yankees, and the other against the Orioles. Don't hesitate to take a flier on him.

Insight: Paulino struck out nearly a batter per inning after being traded to Kansas City last season (119 K in 124 2/3 IP). He'll be an intriguing option if he can maintain his control.

Insight: After struggling as a starter for the Rockies in the early part of last season (0-4, 7.36 ERA), Paulino fared much better after being traded to the Royals in late May (4-6, 4.11). We'll see how he pitches Saturday against New York.

Insight: Huston Street has trouble staying healthy, so the Rockies do need other options. Matt Lindstrom would seem to be next in line but keep an eye on Paulino.
