Hot5/1/2013 10:36:00 PM
Description: Cleveland utility player Ryan Raburn went off for four hits Wednesday in a 6-0 win over Philadelphia.
Insight: Raburn has 11 hits in his last three games. His batting average has gone up by 150 points over that span. Injuries to Nick Swisher and Michael Bourn have allowed Raburn to see regular at bats, though both players are expected to return soon.

5/1/2013 10:37:00 AM
Description: Indians second baseman Ryan Raburn is 2-for-19 with seven strikeouts against Phillies hurler Cliff Lee.
Insight: Raburn has been on fire the past two games, going 7-for-8 with four home runs and seven RBI, but this matchup is significantly unfavorable and could slow him down.

Hot4/30/2013 10:26:00 PM
Description: Indians second baseman Ryan Raburn is 7-for-8 with four homers and seven RBI over the last two games.
Insight: Raburn has been getting more playing time with center fielder Michael Bourn on the DL, but he had not done anything of worth for fantasy owners until going 4-for-4 with two homers and four RBI last night. He had two more homers, three hits and three RBI Tuesday against the Phillies. Bourn will return sometime this week, but we could see Raburn split some at-bats with Drew Stubbs in right field or Jason Kipnis at second base while he is hot.

4/29/2013 10:57:00 PM
Description: Indians second baseman Ryan Raburn went 4-for-4 with two homers and four RBIs Monday against the Royals.
Insight: Raburn has been getting more playing time with center fielder Michael Bourn on the DL, but these were his first two homers of the season. He has managed to pick up 15 strikeouts in 46 at-bats, however.

4/14/2013 11:15:00 AM
Description: Indians second baseman Ryan Raburn only has two hits in nine lifetime at bats against Jake Peavy. Fortunately for Raburn, both of them were home runs.
Insight: One was a three-run shot while the other was a grand slam. Jason Kipnis has been out with an elbow injury so Raburn will get the start at second base on Sunday. If there was ever a day to start Raburn in fantasy, this would be it.

Hot3/4/2013 12:20:00 PM
Description: Cleveland back up second baseman Ryan Raburn has been the hottest hitter in the majors so far this spring, hitting four homers with a .600 batting average and a 2.067 OPS in 15 at-bats.
Insight: Raburn is simply fighting for a roster spot, he's not likely to see enough action on the field to be of value to fantasy owners unless Jason Kipnis goes down with a long-term injury. Keep in mind that Raburn also pounded the ball last spring (6 HR, 19 RBI in 21 games) and then fell apart as the Tigers starting second baseman.

6/20/2012 7:13:00 PM
Description: Tigers second baseman Ryan Raburn was left out of the starting lineup again on Wednesday. He hasn't started a game for the Tigers since Saturday.
Insight: Raburn (.163, 1 HR, 8 RBIs) is no-longer an everyday player and can be dropped in all fantasy leagues.

6/19/2012 6:22:00 PM
Description: Tigers second baseman Ryan Raburn will get the night off Tuesday against the Cardinals.
Insight: Raburn (.163, 1 HRs, 8 RBIs) is hitting .307 since being called up from Triple-A on Thursday.

6/14/2012 3:04:00 PM
Description: Ryan Raburn was recalled from Triple-A Toledo Thursday. He's starting at second base and batting seventh against the Cubs today.
Insight: Raburn was a home run machine during spring training so many fantasy owners entered the season with high hopes for the second baseman. He failed to meet those expectations in his first 38 games (.153, 1 HR, 8 RBIs) but maybe he'll do better his second time around.

Cold5/22/2012 1:50:00 PM
Description: Detroit second baseman Ryan Raburn will miss tonight's game with Cleveland after being placed on bereavement leave.
Insight: Raburn is having trouble with the bat, hitting just .144 this season. He's been headed down hill every year since his peak season of 2009 when he hit 16 HR with an OPS of .891. His multi-position eligibility doesn't make up for his lack of hitting and at this point he should not be on any rosters.

4/28/2012 4:35:00 PM
Description: Detroit second baseman Ryan Raburn is expected to miss Saturday's game against New York due to cramping inhis right leg.
Insight: Raburn is struggling to hit his weight (.157) and being a thin guy, that's not a good sign. Fantasy owners are hoping he'll turn it around soon, before manager Jim Leyland starts looking in other directions.

4/20/2012 9:55:00 AM
Description: Ryan Raburn is off to a horrible start this season, batting an anemic .081 through his first 11 games, but he's 8-for-12 (.667) against Texas starter Matt Harrison with two homers and seven RBI.
Insight: Raburn was hot in spring training, but can't get it going now that the games count for real. A matchup with Harrison may be just the thing to kick start his bat.

4/3/2012 11:50:00 AM
Description: According to the Detroit Free Press: Ryan Raburn will start at second base against RHP and will start elsewhere against LHP, with Brandon Inge starting at second vs. LHP, Tigers manager Jim Leyland announced. Inge is currently on the DL with a strained groin.
Insight: Raburn was leading the MLB with six spring training homers, but has since fallen out of the lead. He has some pop at second base, but he won't provide a high average and is more likely to hit .250 than .275. If you do have Raburn, use him only at second, as he isn't a solid option anywhere else at this point.

3/27/2012 4:17:00 PM
Description: According to Tigers manager Jim Leyland, 2B Ryan Raburn will still see some time in the outfield. The dual eligibility only adds to Raburn's value.
Insight: Raburn has solid power numbers from the second base and is a viable alternative if you don't get one of the "big boys." Raburn hit 14 HR in just 387 at-bats last year but should see 500 or more at-bats in 2012.

4/23/2011 7:29:00 AM
Description: Tigers 2B Ryan Raburn went 2-5, with a homer and 4 RBI's in Detroit's win over Chicago.
Insight: Raburn should offer decent power numbers from the 2nd base position. If you did not land one of the top guys he is certainly worth using in all formats as he will get plenty of production from the #2 spot in Detroit's lineup.

4/20/2011 7:08:00 PM
Description: Ryan Raburn hit a solo home run in Wednesday's win over the Mariners
Insight: Raburn has had a very slow start of the season and hopefully this is a sign of him turning things around.

3/2/2011 10:43:00 AM
Description: Tigers OF Ryan Raburn is the team's tentative starter in left field because of a bat that can do major damage and because of athleticism and a throwing arm that should enable him to be a defensive plus. SOURCE: Detroit News
Insight: If he stays in the lineup full time, Raburn could hit between 25-30 homers and makes him a nice late round pick in mixed leagues.

2/12/2011 3:02:00 PM
Description: Ryan Raburn will be placed in LF and won't be moved around this season. SOURCE: MLBLOGS
Insight: Fantasy owners have wondered for a long time what Raburn could do if he were to get regular playing time. We have seen glimpses in the past and we will find out for sure this season. He has the potential to hit plenty of home runs.

Description: Outfielder Ryan Raburn and the Detroit Tigers have agreed to a $3.4 million, two-year contract. SOURCE: ESPN.com
Insight: Raburn also played at 2B, so check your league requirements for positional eligibility. He was solid after the All-Star break and is a good play in AL-only leagues.

10/4/2010 1:02:00 PM
Description: The Detroit Free Press reports Raburn is expected to be the Tigers' every day left fielder to open 2011.
Insight: Raburn hit .280 with 15 home runs and 62 RBI in 371 at-bats this season. (RapidDraft.com)
