Description: In a matchup of All-Stars, Oakland left-hander Jon Lester has gotten the best of Angels center fielder Mike Trout.
Insight: Trout is 0-for-6 with three strikeouts in their matchups. Trout is just starting to break out of a slump, going 6-for-12 over the past three games. Hopefully, Lester won't slow the progress, but Trout isn't a great option Friday.

Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout has gone 7-for-19 with a pair of home runs in his last five games.

Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout went 2-for-4 with a solo homer Friday at Oakland.
Insight: Trout has hit just .235 with six homers, 17 RBI, 20 runs, 45 Ks and a .753 OPS in 136 at-bats since the All-Star break, but we can't see the superstar struggling for much longer.

Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout has batted just .174 (8-for-46) over the past two weeks (11 games).
Insight: Fantasy owners are probably getting a little frustrated, but looking at the big picture shows he's still a fantasy stud. He's batting .288 with 27 HR, 89 RBI, 84 runs scored, 12 SB and a .930 OPS. Still, for fantasy owners it's what have you done for me lately?

Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout is 6-for-13 with two homers against Boston starter Clay Buchholz.
Insight: Trout has gone 4-for-11 with a double, a triple and two RBI over his last three games after running into a 4-for-37 (.108) slump prior to that. His strikeout rate is up from 19 percent last year to 24.8 percent this season which has contributed to his average dropping from .323 to .291. However, he's put up a much higher extra-base hit rate (12.2 percent in 2014, 10.5 percent in 2013) and is going to drive in more runs than he did in each of his first two seasons. He's a strong choice Wednesday against Buchholz.

Cold8/16/2014 12:23:00 PM
Description: Angels center fielder Mike Trout has gone 4-for-32 (.125) with 11 Ks the past three games.
Insight: Two of the hits were home runs and he drove in five runs during that stretch, but daily league players should consider other options Saturday. Trout is always one of the most expensive players and you can't afford to eat up a significant portion of your salary with a player who is on a bad run.

7/19/2014 10:53:00 AM
Description: Los Angeles center fielder Mike Trout is a career .386 hitter with a 1.067 OPS against Felix Hernandez.
Insight: King Felix may be the best pitcher in baseball, certainly in the top-five, but Trout doesn't seem to have a problem with him. Trout leads the league in OPS (1.008) and total bases (214) to go along with his .313 batting average, 22 HR and 73 RBI.

Description: Los Angeles center fielder Mike Trout is 4-for-8 (.444) with a 1.250 OPS versus White Sox starter Hector Noesi.
Insight: Trout (.307, 17 HR, 56 RBI) is hitting with more power this season. Add in a wind blowing out to left at 15 mph and you have a must-start candidate.

Hot6/25/2014 10:26:00 AM
Description: Los Angeles center fielder Mike Trout went 1-for-2 with a homer, two RBI, two walks, two runs and a steal Tuesday against the Twins.
Insight: Trout (.307, 17 HR, 56 RBI) has the reputation of being an all-around excellent player rather than a power hitter, but his .604 slugging percentage is third in baseball. He has stolen five bases this month after stealing that many in the first two months combined.
