NOTES:
The Champions Tour travels to Illinois this week for the inaugural Encompass Championship at North Shore Country Club. North Shore was designed by famed English architect Harry Colt and opened for play in 1924.

The top-21 players on the money list are in the field. Bernhard Langer currently leads the list with $1,091,388 in earnings. He leads David Frost by $50,083. They are the only two-time winners on tour this season and the only players that have earned more than $1 million. Frost is coming off his first major championship victory two weeks ago at the Regions Tradition.

World Golf Hall of Fame member Nick Price is expected to play this week for the first time since August of last year. Price has been out of action due to torn ligaments in his left elbow.

This marks the first time the Champions Tour will be in the Chicago area since 2002. The Ameritech/SBC Senior Open was staged there from 1991-2002. This week's venue, North Shore Country Club, hosted the 1933 U.S. Open Championship and the 1939 and 1983 U.S. Amateur Championship.

The Champions Tour moves to Pennsylvania next week for the third major of the season, the Constellation Senior Players Championship. Joe Daley will defend his title at Fox Chapel Golf Club in Pittsburgh.
