NOTES:
The Nationwide Tour travels to the San Francisco Bay area this week for the TPC Stonebrae Championship in Hayward, California. The top 13 players on the money list are in the field, including money leader Andres Gonzales. All five tournament winners in 2012 are in the field - Gonzales, Skip Kendall, Paul Haley II, Edward Loar and Casey Wittenberg.

Gonzales is coming off a win last week at the Soboba Golf Classic. He leads the money list by more than $44,000 over Andrew Svoboda, who finished second to Gonzales last week. Gonzales has a win and a second place finish in five events this year. Svoboda has two runner-up finishes, three top-10 finishes and has made the cut in all five events.

NFL Legend Jerry Rice is serving as tournament host this week and will be playing in the event. This will be the third straight year that Rice will play in this tournament. He has missed the cut the previous two years, carding rounds of 81-82 in 2011.

The TPC Stonebrae was designed by David McLay Kidd and opened in 2007. Kidd has designed many courses around the world, including Bandon Dunes in Oregon and the Castle Course at St. Andrews.

Last year, Daniel Chopra was named the winner after fog produced a big enough delay of the final round that it was cancelled. Chopra won for the first time on the Nationwide Tour since the 2004 Henrico County Open and first time anywhere since a PGA Tour win at the 2008 Mercedes-Benz Championship. It was his third Nationwide Tour win overall. Chopra had the best round of his career in the third round with a course-record, nine-under 61, and it was enough to give him a one-shot victory over Luke List and Russell Knox. Nobody other than Chopra had a round better than 64 through the three rounds.

Chopra will try to become the first player in Nationwide Tour history to successfully defend his title. He earned his PGA Tour card for 2012, but has struggled so far this season. Chopra has missed the cut in all six events he has played on the PGA Tour this year.

In 2010, Kevin Chappell used two late birdies in the final round to shoot a six-under 65 and earn his first Nationwide Tour victory. Chappell finished the tournament at 20-under 264 and won by one stroke.

In 2009, Michael Sim fired a seven-under 64 in the final round to cruise to an easy six-shot victory at the inaugural event. Sim finished at 18-under 266 and captured his first of three victories in his 2009 Player of the Year campaign.

The Nationwide Tour heads to Georgia in two weeks for the South Georgia Classic in Valdosta, where Ted Potter, Jr. captured the 2011 title.
