Kuchar and Johnson win CVS Caremark Charity Classic



Barrington, RI (Sports Network) - Matt Kuchar and Zach Johnson paired for an 11-under 60 on Tuesday to win the CVS Caremark Charity Classic by two strokes.

The tournament features two-player teams in a best-ball format, where each player plays for a specific charity.

Kuchar, playing for the Special Olympics, and Johnson, playing for Save The Bay, finished the 36-hole tournament at 24-under 118.

Morgan Pressel and Davis Love III also shot an 11-under 60 on Tuesday, but finished at 22-under overall for second.

Last year's winner J.B. Holmes and Ricky Barnes had a nine-under 62 to tie for third with Camilo Villegas and David Toms, who shot a 12-under 59, at 21- under.

Tournament co-host Brad Faxon and Gary Woodland shot an 11-under 60 on Tuesday to get to minus-20 overall, good for fifth place. Paula Creamer and Brandt Snedeker (60) were sixth at 19-under.

Suzann Pettersen and Brett Quigley (63) and Juli Inkster and Peter Jacobsen (62) shared seventh at minus-15.

The other tournament co-host, Billy Andrade, and Bill Hass (63) finished ninth at 12-under, while Ben Crenshaw and Jhonattan Vegas (69) were 10th at minus- eight.
