NOTES
Those outside the top 64 in the world head south of the border for the Mayakoba Golf Classic this week. Spurred by an eight-under 62 in the third round, Brian Gay collected his first PGA Tour title at this event last year. Gay posted a tournament-record 16- under 264, bettering the old mark by two strokes. The brackets for the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship were set last week with the top 64 in the world being invited. All 64 have committed for the event. Four of the next six players from last week`s world rankings will be at the El Camaleon this week. D.J. Trahan, Dudley Hart, David Toms and Chad Campbell are all headed to Mexico in search of victory. The Golf Channel will have tape-delayed coverage of all four rounds this week. The PGA Tour moves to Florida next week for the Honda Classic, where Ernie Els won last season.
