Bomar has recovered from a devastating knee injury last year to establish himself as one of the top quarterbacks in FCS. He passed for 200 or more yards in seven of his nine games last season, finishing with 2,209 yards passing and 10 TDs, despite missing two games with the injury. Bomar completed 36-of-61 passes for 358 yards and four touchdowns and added 103 yards rushing for 461 yards of total offense against one of the top defenses in FCS last year, North Dakota State. He started as a redshirt freshman at Oklahoma, passing for 2,018 yards and 10 TDs in 2005. He threw for 229 yards on the way to winning most valuable player honors in the Holiday Bowl as the Sooners beat Oregon, 17-14.
