Sacred Heart to play six home games

Fairfield, CT (Sports Network) - Sacred Heart football will kick off its 2011 schedule by playing three of its six home games.

The Pioneers will host Marist (Sept. 3), fellow Northeast Conference member Bryant (Sept. 17) and Dartmouth (Sept. 24) to open their season. Their remaining home games at Campus Field are against NEC opponents: St. Francis, Pa. (Oct. 15); Monmouth (Oct. 22); and Duquesne (Nov. 12).

Sacred Heart finished the 2010 season with a 4-7 overall and 2-6 record under head coach Paul Gorham.
