Western Carolina to end season against Coastal Carolina

Cullowhee, NC (Sports Network) - Western Carolina completed its 2011 football schedule by adding a home game against Coastal Carolina on Nov. 19, the final Saturday of the regular season.

The meeting will be the first between Western Carolina and Coastal Carolina, which will host the Catamounts in 2015 to complete a home-and-home series.

Western Carolina had been left with only 10 games and two open dates for 2011 after the Southern Conference shuffled some of its teams' schedules.

Western Carolina finished 2-9 overall and 1-7 in the SoCon in 2010. Coastal Carolina shared the Big South title and advanced to the FCS playoffs, finishing 6-6 overall and 5-1 in conference games.
