Chattanooga's Allison done at end of season
Chattanooga, TN (Sports Network) - Chattanooga head football coach Rodney Allison will not have his contract renewed at the end of the 2008 season, the school announced on Tuesday.
Allison, who has been with the school for six years, has a record of 17-47 and the Mocs have a record of 1-7 this season.
"A variety of factors influenced my decision," said athletic director Rick Hart. "The on-field performance does not match the off-field productivity. This was a very difficult decision because we are not a 'win at all costs' department and Rodney Allison is a 'change agent.' He changed the culture surrounding our football program by restoring our internal priorities -- academics and the personal development of our student-athletes."
He will remain coach of the team through the end of the 2008 season.
