NCAA Game Summary - Boston College at U-C-F

Orlando, FL (Sports Network) - Jeff Godfrey rushed for two touchdowns as he led
the UCF Knights to a 30-3 victory over the Boston College Eagles in a non-
conference bout at Bright House Network Stadium.
Godfrey finished with 69 rushing yards for UCF (2-0) and also threw for 187
yards on 20-of-25 passing. Latavius Murray led the way with 72 rushing yards
and also found the end zone once.
It was a forgettable night for Boston College's offense, as the team totaled
just 141 yards. Chase Rettig was ineffective throughout the game, completing
just 10-of-23 passes for only 70 yards. Rettig was also sacked three times and
intercepted twice. Andre Williams did not find much room to run either, as the
tailback finished with 59 yards on 12 totes.
The first half was controlled by the kickers, as UCF went into the break with a
9-3 led. In the opening quarter Boston College and UCF exchanged successful
kicks, as Nate Freese nailed a 47-yard boot for BC, while Nick Cattoi drilled a
36-yard field goal for the Knights.
Cattoi was busy in the second stanza, connecting field goals of 35 and 32
yards, respectively.
After the two teams went scoreless through the third quarter the flood gates
opened for UCF's offense, as the Knights scored three touchdowns in the final
frame.
The first score came just seconds in the fourth quarter, as Godfrey plunged
into the end zone from the one-yard line.
Latavius Murray added a one-yard run as well and the final touchdown came from
Godfrey, who found the end zone on a four-yard scamper.
UCF racked up 422 total yards of offense, and that includes 235 rushing yards
on 5.2 yards per attempt.
