Final Score: UCLA 27, Oregon State 19

Corvallis, OR (Sports Network) - Richard Brehaut threw a touchdown and ran for another as he led the UCLA Bruins to a 27-19 victory over the Oregon State Beavers in a Pac-12 matchup at Reser Stadium.

Brehaut only threw for 146 yards on 7-of-11 passing, as the majority of the work was done with the run. UCLA (2-2, 1-0 Pac12) rumbled for 211 yards on 49 carries and leading the charge was Derrick Coleman, who finished with 100 yards on 20 carries.

Sean Mannion led the way for the Beavers (0-3, 0-1), as the quarterback threw for 287 yards and one touchdown. Mannion, who only completed 24-of-40 passes also tossed an interception in the loss. It was a lopsided effort by Oregon State's offense, as the team finished with just 88 rushing yards on 3.0 yards per attempt.

The Beavers took a 3-0 lead late in the first quarter thanks to a 25-yard field goal by Trevor Romaine.

UCLA responded quickly when Brehaut connected with Taylor Embree for a 22-yard scoring strike.

The Bruins extended their lead to 21-3 in the second quarter with touchdown runs of five and four yards by Brehaut and Jordon James, respectively. However, the Beavers were able to cut into their deficit in the final seconds of the opening half thanks to an 85-yard punt return by Jordan Poyer.

Romaine's 30-yard field goal early in the third quarter brought Oregon State within eight points of tying the contest.

As time expired in the third quarter Mannion hit Jordan Bishop with a 45-yard touchdown pass. However, the Beavers attempt at a two-point conversion failed, leaving UCLA on top, 21-19.

UCLA shut the door on Oregon State midway through the final frame when Anthony Barr plunged into the endzone for a one-yard score.
