Salt Lake City, UT (Sports Network) - John White rushed for 205 yards and one
touchdown to lead the Utah Utes to a 27-8 victory over the Oregon State
Beavers in a Pac-12 Conference battle at Rice-Eccles Stadium.
Jon Hays only threw for 62 yards, but finished with two touchdown passes for
Utah (4-4, 1-4 Pac12), which claimed its first-ever Pac-12 victory.
Sean Mannion threw for 231 yards and one touchdown for Oregon State (2-6,
2-3), but also tossed three interceptions in the loss.
Coleman Petersen's 48-yard field goal was the only scoring in the opening
frame and it gave the Utes an early lead.
Utah opened up the flood gates in the second stanza, beginning with a 35-yard
touchdown passes from Hays to Dres Anderson. That was followed by a six-yard
touchdown run by White.
