Bowling Green, OH (Sports Network) - Tyshon Goode caught 12 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns, helping lift the Kent State Golden Flashes to a 30-6 triumph over the Bowling Green Falcons in Mid-American Conference play at Doyt L. Perry Stadium.

Spencer Keith completed 26-of-32 passes and finished with 223 yards for the Golden Flashes (3-4, 2-2 MAC), who snapped a six-game road losing streak dating back to last season. Jacquise Terry ran for 94 yards on 22 carries in the win.

Matt Schilz threw for 118 yards with two interceptions for the Falcons (1-7, 0-4), losers of five straight.

Kent State grabbed a 3-0 lead on Freddy Cortez's 29-yard field goal at the 8:20 mark of the opening quarter, which was set up by a Brian Lainhart interception return down to the Bowling Green 15-yard line.

Falcons' return man Jerry Gates ran the ensuing kickoff back 75 yards for a momentum-stealing touchdown, although the extra point was blocked and the score remained, 6-3.

The Golden Flashes took a 10-6 lead on a one-yard QB sneak by Keith with 3:21 remaining in the opening frame.

Kent State took control with three unanswered scores in the second quarter, beginning with a three-yard touchdown pass from Keith to Goode at the 9:13 mark.

Cortez made it a 20-6 game with a 32-yard field goal with 2:27 remaining until halftime.

After a quick defensive stand, Kent State got the ball back and promptly scored again on Keith's 28-yard scoring strike to Goode with 1:33 to play until halftime.

The Golden Flashes pushed their lead to 30-6 following a 30-yard field goal by Cortez with 9:55 remaining in the third quarter, and the score would remain that way until the final whistle.

The win was only the second for Kent State in its last 18 trips to Bowling Green. The Falcons finished with just 135 yards of total offense for the game.
