However, the Bobcats responded with four straight touchdowns to close out the first half.

The first score was a five-yard pass and catch from Jackson to Terrence McCrae with just under six minutes remaining in the first quarter.

Less than two minutes into the second stanza Jackson connected with Thompson for a seven-yard scoring strike.

The two players hooked up again in the final seconds of the opening half, with a six-yard pass and catch.

The Bobcats continued to pour it on in the third frame, as Donovan Fletcher returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown.

Bowling Green capped off a 19-play, 93-yard drive with a one-yard touchdown plunge by Willie Geter. However, Bowling Green's two-point conversion was unsuccessful, leaving the Falcons on the wrong end of a 35-11 score.

It did not take Ohio long to respond, as Bates broke free for a 62-yard touchdown dash less than two minutes later.

Schilz connected with Jorden early in the fourth quarter, but once again the team failed to convert its two-point attempt.

A 12-yard touchdown run by Bates midway through the final frame pushed Ohio's lead to 49-17.

Schilz and Jorden connected again, this time for a 59-yard touchdown with 4 1/2 minutes remaining in regulation. BGSU's quarterback hit Justus Jones for a two-point conversion, but the Falcons were simply too far behind to mount a comeback and suffered a 24-point loss.
