NCAA Game Summary - Saint Louis at Vanderbilt

Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Led by 17 points and eight assists from Jordair Jett, the Saint Louis Billikens took down the Vanderbilt Commodores, 57-49, in a non-conference showdown at Memorial Gymnasium.
For the Billikens (12-2), Grandy Glaze pulled down 10 rebounds and Dwayne Evans just missed a double-double, finishing with nine points and nine rebounds.
Damian Jones led the Commodores (7-4) with 12 points, while Kyle Fuller dished out eight assists.
Though Vanderbilt shot just 37.5 percent from the field in the first half, it held Saint Louis to 36.4 percent shooting and finished the half on an 11-3 run to take a 27-21 lead going into halftime. Neither team had success from beyond the arc early on, as Vanderbilt made only 2-of-10 from 3-point range in the first and Saint Louis was little better at 3-of-12.
In the second half, the Billikens improved their shooting to 43.3 percent but still had trouble from long range, missing all seven of their 3-point attempts. The Commodores continued to struggle from the floor, making 29.2 percent of their field goal tries, including just 1-of-7 from beyond the arc. Trailing by three, 44-41, with five minutes to play, the Billikens used a 12-0 run over the next four minutes to pull away for the victory, their sixth straight.
Saint Louis had the offensive advantage down low, outscoring Vanderbilt in the paint, 34-26. The Billikens also scored 16 points off of 17 Commodores' turnovers, while only allowing nine points as a result of their 11 miscues.
