Tempe, AZ (Sports Network) - Jordan Bachynski recorded the first triple-double in program history for Arizona State, as the Sun Devils claimed an 87-76 win over the Cal State-Northridge Matadors in a non-conference matchup at Wells Fargo Arena.

Bachynski racked up 13 points, 12 rebounds and 12 blocks to help the Sun Devils (8-1) improve to 7-0 at home and earn their fourth straight win overall. All five starters scored in double figures, led by Jahii Carson's game-high 21 points. Evan Gordon was close behind with 20 points, while Carrick Felix scored 17 and Jonathan Gilling finished with a dozen.

Stephan Hicks paced the Matadors (7-3) with 18 points and 10 boards in a losing effort. Landon Drew scored 16, Josh Greene added 15 points, and Trevone Williams finished with 11 off the bench.

ASU scored the first seven points of the game and never trailed the rest of the way. The Sun Devils went on to grab a 41-31 halftime lead after shooting 51.9 percent from the floor in the first half, which included a 6-of-14 effort from beyond the arc. The Matadors were held to 33.3-percent shooting from the floor in the opening frame.

CSUN heated up in the second stanza, shooting 53.1 percent, but the Sun Devils held a key 20-6 scoring advantage at the foul line over the final 20 minutes. ASU led by as many as 17 with four minutes to play.

The Sun Devils yielded a 42-32 rebounding advantage to CSUN, but they made up for it by shooting 51 percent for the game in addition to outscoring the Matadors at the charity stripe, 27-10.
