St. Bonaventure, NY (Sports Network) - Demetrius Conger scored 14 points and
brought in eight rebounds as the St. Bonaventure Bonnies defeated the Siena
Saints 58-43 in a non-conference tilt at the Reilly Center.
Marquise Simmons had a double-double for St. Bonaventure (5-2) with 12 points
and 10 rebounds while Chris Johnson added 10 points.
Trenity Burdine netted 16 points for Siena (2-7) which has lost four straight.
O. D. Anosike had seven points on just 3-of-11 shooting but collected 14
rebounds.
Despite shooting just 37.5 percent in the first half the Bonnies led 33-26 at
the half by outscoring Siena 7-2 from the free throw line.
Both teams struggled in the second half. St. Bonaventure hit only 32.0 percent
of its shots and missed all eight of its attempts from beyond the arc. Siena
was even worse shooting 19.4 percent.
Siena managed to hold a 40-36 edge in rebounding but turned the ball over 17
times while forcing only five turnovers from the Bonnies.
