NCAA Game Summary - Fordham at Dayton
(Wednesday, January 23) Final Score: Dayton 96, Fordham 51 Dayton, OH (Sports Network) - Kevin Dillard scored 22 points for the Dayton Flyers who rolled over the Fordham Rams, 96-51, at UD Arena in an Atlantic 10 Conference matchup. Dillard was 5-of-6 from 3-point range and dished out a game-high eight assists for the Flyers (11-7, 1-3 A-10), who saw their three-game losing streak come to a close. Vee Sanford contributed 19 points and six assists while Matt Derenbecker scored 11 points off the bench. Jeffrey Short was the only player for Fordham (5-14, 1-3) to score in double- figures with 13 points as the Rams lost their third game in a row and fourth in five tries. Dayton took a huge 52-23 lead into halftime after shooting 65.5 percent from the field and knocking down 7-of-11 3-point attempts in the first half. The second half was much like the first as the Flyers knocked down 8-of-10 shots from beyond the arc and outscored the Rams 44-28. Dayton was 15-of-21 from 3-point range while Fordham was 4-of-13.
