Richmond, KY (Sports Network) - Josh Daniel scored a game-high 14 points off the bench, as the Eastern Kentucky Colonels ran away with a 68-39 win over the Knights of Fairleigh Dickinson in the Richmond Subregional of the CBE Classic at McBrayer Arena.
Josh Taylor chipped in with 13 points for EKU (2-1).
Alvin Mofunanya led FDU (1-3) with 14 points and seven rebounds, though he was the only Knights player in double figures.
EKU buried 9-of-18 three-pointers in the first half while holding FDU to 7- of-23 shooting from the floor, as the Colonels went into the locker room with a commanding 40-19 halftime lead.
The Colonels put the game away with a 16-0 run midway through the second stanza, turning a 49-31 lead into a 65-31 cushion with 5:33 to play.
EKU committed only seven turnovers for the game, while the Knights coughed it up 18 times.
