Pospisil, Sock stun Bryans in Wimbledon final

London, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Vasek Pospisil and Jack Sock upset reigning champions Bob and Mike Bryan in a five-set thriller to capture the 2014 Wimbledon doubles title.

The unseeded duo of Pospisil and Sock outlasted the world No. 1 twin-brother tandem in the final set to claim their first-ever Grand Slam doubles crown with a 7-6 (7-5), 6-7 (3-7), 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 decision on the grass of Centre Court.

The top-seeded Bryans were in search of a fourth career Wimbledon title and a 16th overall in Grand Slam events. The American siblings downed Ivan Dodig and Marcelo Melo in last year's championship match.

Pospisil, a Canadian, and the American Sock reached their first major doubles final by upending the fifth-seeded team of Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek in straight sets on Friday. They will split $560,000 for Saturday's stunning victory.

Saturday's result dropped the Bryans to 3-4 all-time in Wimbledon title matches. The 36-year-olds also won the All England Club championship in 2006 and 2011 in addition to last year.
