Kaka's brace powers Milan past Chievo
Milan, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - AC Milan claimed a second straight victory on Saturday as a brace from Kaka helped the club earn a 3-0 victory over Chievo at the San Siro.
The home side was in front just four minutes into the match when Mario Balotelli turned in a cross from very close range.
The rest of the match belonged to Kaka as the Milan midfielder scored in both halves to ensure the victory.
The Brazilian doubled Milan's advantage in the 26th minute when he was left unmarked at the back post to turn in a cross from Keisuke Honda.
Kaka added Milan's third in spectacular fashion, cutting inside from the left flank in the 54th minute to curl a superb effort off the far post and into the back of the net from the corner of the penalty area.
Cyril Thereau missed a penalty kick in stoppage time to cap a miserable outing for Chievo, which has lost three of its last four league games.
Milan improves to 42 points on the season to move up to ninth place in the Italian top flight.
Also in Serie A on Saturday, Giuseppe De Luca and Marcelo Estigarribia scored four minutes apart in the first half to hand Atalanta a 2-0 win at Bologna.
