Napoli hopes to slow streaking Juve

Naples, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) - Juventus aims to continue its march toward a third successive Scudetto on Sunday as the Serie A leaders travel the San Paolo Stadium to take on third-place Napoli.

Juventus owns a 14-point lead at the top of the league table after a 2-1 win over Parma on Wednesday that extended the club's unbeaten streak to 22 games.

The match also saw the Old Lady claim a Serie A record 15th straight home win as Carlos Tevez scored a pair of first-half goals in the victory.

Tevez leads the league with 18 goals, but Juve will be without the Argentina international on Sunday due to suspension because of an accumulation of yellow cards.

His absence will no doubt help Napoli's cause as Rafael Benitez and his men attempt to strengthen their hold on the third and final Champions League spot.

The club holds a 10-point lead over fourth-place Fiorentina, while second- place Roma resides six points clear of Napoli in second place.

Napoli lost 1-0 to Fiorentina last weekend, but bounced back on Wednesday with a 4-2 triumph at last-place Catania.

Roma hopes to maintain its spot in second place with another three points at second-from-the-bottom Sassuolo, which is five points from safety, while 18th- place Livorno sits two points back of Bologna in the race for survival and tangles with Inter Milan.

Bologna has one win in its last seven games and entertains Atalanta, Fiorentina visits Sampdoria having lost three of its last five matches, Chievo is three points clear of the relegation places and invades AC Milan, Hellas Verona hosts Genoa, Parma visits Lazio, Torino squares off with Cagliari and Udinese meets last-place Catania.
