Portland Trail Blazers (6-8) at Washington Wizards (0-12), 7 p.m.

(Sports Network) - There are very few bright spots for the winless Washington Wizards because a franchise-worst 0-12 start has taken center stage.

Something has to give for the moribund Wizards as they close out a three-game homestand Wednesday versus the Portland Trail Blazers. The losses continued to pile up with Monday's 118-92 setback to the San Antonio Spurs. Jordan Crawford and Kevin Seraphin scored 19 and 18 points, respectively, and Martell Webster provided 16 points for the Wizards.

A.J. Price had 11 points, seven assists and five rebounds, while rookie Bradley Beal added 11 points in defeat.

"We're all embarrassed, plain and simple. We knew the game plan and didn't execute it," Webster said. "All-around effort was not up to par and we have to be better."

Washington forward/center Nene missed the game with a foot injury and is listed as questionable Wednesday. Nene just returned to action after missing the first nine games of the season.

The Wizards are 0-6 at the Verizon Center this season and average an NBA-low 90.0 ppg. The New Jersey Nets had the worst start in NBA history in 2009-10, when they dropped the first 18 games of the season. The Nets had been tied with the 1988-89 expansion Miami Heat and the Los Angeles Clippers in the lockout-shortened 1999 season with 17 straight defeats to open a campaign.

Portland has lost three of four games and is 0-2 on a seven-game road trip.

In a 108-101 setback at Detroit on Monday, LaMarcus Aldridge returned from a one-game absence due to a stiff back and recorded a season-best 32 points and 10 rebounds. Rookie Damian Lillard missed his first 12 shots from the field and finished with 12 points and seven assists for the Blazers.

Detroit had a 28-19 lead after the first quarter and shot 52.5 percent.

"We have to stop getting off to slow starts," Aldridge said. "We have to figure something out."

Wesley Matthews posted 19 points in a losing effort. Lillard leads all rookies in scoring (19.1 ppg), assists (6.1 apg) and steals (1.36 spg).

Portland will also visit Boston, Cleveland, Charlotte and Indiana on the current road swing and is 2-5 away from the Rose City.

The Blazers and Wizards have split the past six meetings, but Portland owns a 9-4 ledger in the previous 13 matchups between the teams.
