(SportsNetwork.com) - The Atlanta Hawks return home from a western road trip

Atlanta went 1-2 on a quick jaunt to the other coast. They finished with a
109-107 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Thursday, which was the first victory of
the season for the Nuggets.
The Hawks had plenty of chances to pull out the victory, but couldn't get it
done late. Atlanta was down two with eight seconds left and Paul Millsap's
turnaround jumper missed. Al Horford got the rebound, but couldn't convert,
giving the Hawks a third loss.
"I had a smaller guy on me so I figured I could shoot over the top of him,"
said Millsap. "I knew it would be difficult to get to the basket. I settled
for my step-back jump shot. I felt like it was a good shot, it didn't go in."
Millsap had a big night with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Horford had 21 points,
followed by 16 from Kyle Korver, 14 points and 11 assists from Jeff Teague and
10 from DeMarre Carroll.
The Magic fell 91-89 to the Boston Celtics on Friday night in Orlando to snap
a three-game winning streak.
Arron Afflalo led the way for the Magic with 23 points. Nikola Vucevic managed
14 points and 13 rebounds, but only two of those points came after the first

The Magic committed 20 turnovers, which led to 25 Celtics points. Boston only
had 11 turnovers and Orlando converted those into just eight points.
The Magic haven't won in Atlanta since Nov. 26, 2009.
