Insight: Olt has played well so far in his first stint in the major leagues (3-for-10, four RBI) but he isn't getting enough playing time at the moment to be considered a realistic fantasy option.   8/4/2012 9:13:00 PM Description: Rangers top third base prospect Mike Olt had the first two RBIs on his major league career Saturday against the Royals. Insight: Olt started against Royals lefty Will Smith Saturday and Angels lefty C.J. Wilson Thursday, going 2-for-5 against them. He'll continue to start against lefties, but the platoon split with Mitch Moreland will limit his fantasy value at first. Insight: The former UConn star has been phenomenal in 95 games for Double-A Frisco this season (.288, 28 HRs, 82 RBIs). The 23-year-old has never played a game above Double-A ball and Adrian Beltre (.307, 18 HRs, 61 RBIs) is still among the best third baseman in baseball so it will be interesting to see what kind of role Olt will play upon his promotion.   8/2/2012 11:34:00 AM Description: Rangers prospect Mike Olt will start at first base and bat eighth in his major league debut Thursday against the Angels. Insight: Olt hit 28 homers in 95 games for Double-A Frisco this season. He's the Rangers top third base prospect, but the presence of Adrian Beltre means Olt will have to be moved around. He could see time at first and DH, meaning less playing time for Mitch Moreland or Michael Young if Olt produces. He's worth a shot in AL-only and deeper mixed leagues if you need power from a corner infield position.
