Latendresse worthy of your attention

Guillaume Latendresse is owned in just under 30% of all leagues.
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - If ever there was a perfect example of a "change of address" helping a player, Minnesota's Guillaume Latendresse is that guy.

Through the first 23 games this season, Latendresse, a left winger for the Montreal Canadiens, was a complete fantasy disappointment, a non-entity. A second-round selection in 2005, he had scored just two goals and dished out one assist in over a quarter of a season. He wasn't adding anything in the other categories either, posting a -4 plus/minus, just four PIM and had just 27 SOG.

On November 23rd, Latendresse was traded to the Minnesota Wild for left winger Benoit Pouliot.

Since that point, Latendresse has been much better, even dare I say - very good. Playing primarily alongside Kyle Brodziak and Martin Havlat, Latendresse has collected 13 goals and six assists in 25 games. He's taken twice as many shots and is scoring at a .206 pace as compared to .074 in Montreal. He's also got a +6 rating, showing that he and his linemates are playing at both ends of the ice.

And the good news is that he is likely available in your league. Latendresse is owned in just under 30% of all leagues. How many times during a season can you pick up a nearly point-a-game player (19 in 25 games) at mid-season for just a waiver wire pick up?

I just claimed him in my league and I suggest you do the same.
