Description: Lightning center Nikita Kucherov scored a pair of goals in Tampa Bay's, 6-2, victory over the Canadiens in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Sunday.
Insight: Both of Kucherov's goals came on the power play. Tampa Bay scored on its last four power play shots, going 4-for-8 on the man advantage in the game. Kucherov has three goals and four assists in nine postseason games this spring. The three goals are all in this second round series versus Montreal. Tampa Bay leads the series, 2-0.

Description: Capitals star Alex Ovechkin scored a goal during Saturday's Game 2 loss to the Rangers.
Insight: It was his fourth of the playoffs, and he also had four shots on goal. Evgeny Kuznetsov also tallied for Washington in the game.

Description: Capitals right wing Joel Ward scored the game-winning goal of Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Rangers with 1.3 seconds left.
Insight: Washington won, 2-1. Alex Ovechkin had the puck behind the net and just sent it to the front. Ward was sitting there all by himself and he slipped the puck below Henrik Lundqvist's pad. That was Ward's only shot of the game. The Capitals are out to a surprising, 1-0, series lead.

Description: Canadiens right wing Brendan Gallagher scored the game-winner Sunday versus Ottawa.
Insight: His first period goal was all Montreal needed, as they advanced after beating the Senators 2-0. It was Gallagher's first goal of the series.

Description: Canucks right wing Jannik Hansen had a goal and an assist in Game 6 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals, but it wasn't nearly enough as Vancouver lost, 7-4.
Insight: Hansen and Vancouver dominated the first period as they scored the first three goals of the game, one of which was from Hansen, but Calgary rallied to tie the game in the second period. Hansen assisted Luca Sbisa's goal as Vancouver retook the lead, but Calgary scored four times in the third with the final two being empty-netters. Hansen had two goals and two assissts in the series. Hansen has been improving his offense over the last two seasons and has made himself into a low-end fantasy option. He scored 27 points in 47 games last season with a solid +12 rating. He's totaled two goals and two assists in 11 games so far this year.

Description: Flames left winger Jiri Hudler had two goals and two assists in the amazing comeback from the Flames on Saturday as they won the series against the Canucks, 4-2.
Insight: Vancouver jumped out to a, 3-0, lead, and it looked like Game 7 was looming, but the Flames scored seven of the next eight goals to win Game 6, 7-4. Hudler had two assists in the second period as Calgary tied the game, 3-3, and then trailing, 4-3, in the third, Judler scored twice as Calgary blew the game open. The Flames will face the Ducks in the next round of the playoffs.

Description: Penguins right winger Patric Hornqvist scored the team's lone goal Wednesday against the Rangers.
Insight: It was his second goal of the series and he also had three total shots. Pittsburgh is now down 3-1 in the series and will have to win Friday to avoid elimination.

Description: Rangers rookie winger Kevin Hayes was the hero Wednesday versus Pittsburgh.
Insight: He scored the game-winner less than four minutes into OT, and alos had three shots and a plus-one rating. Derick Brassard also tallied for the Rangers.

Description: Flames left winger Jiri Hudler had a goal and an assist in Calgary's, 3-1, victory over the Canucks on Tuesday in Game 4 of the Western Conference Quarterfinals.
Insight: The Calgary power play was clicking on Tuesday, and Hudler owners loved it. He assisted Johnny Gaudreau's goal in the first four minutes of the game, and then Hudler scored on the power play six minutes later. The Flames man advantage was 2-for-4 in the game. The two points were Hudler's first of the series.

Description: Capitals star Alex Ovechkin posted two points in Tuesday's Game 3 OT win over the Islanders.
Insight: He scored the opening goal on a pretty deflection in the first period and set up the game0winner in OT. The goal was Ovechkin's second of the series.

Description: Canadiens right wing Dale Weise scored two goals, including the game-winner in overtime as Montreal beat Ottawa, 2-1, in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals on Sunday.
Insight: Weise tied the game at one with under six minutes to play in regulation. He then scored about nine minutes into overtime for the game-winner. There was some controversy about the game-winning goal as it might have gone off a Canadiens skater's glove before the puck found Weise in the offensive zone, in which case, the play should have been stopped. It will be interesting to see if anything new comes out regarding the final play, but nonetheless, Montreal has a, 3-0, series lead.
