Colgate running back Eachus out against Towson
Hamilton, NY (Sports Network) - Colgate All-America running back Nate Eachus will not play against Towson on Saturday due to an undisclosed injury.
Eachus, who led the FCS in rushing yards for the 2010 season, didn't play in the Raiders' loss to Dartmouth this past weekend, even though he dressed and went out as a captain for the pre-game coin toss.
On Monday, Colgate coach Dick Biddle confirmed Eachus would not be listed on the depth chart against Towson. He is out with the same injury that caused him to miss the Dartmouth game.
Prior to watching the Dartmouth game from the sidelines, Eachus had carried the ball 61 times for 261 yards and a pair of touchdowns this season.
Against Dartmouth, freshman running back Danny Epstein started in Eachus' place, rushing for 46 yards on 16 carries. Epstein will likely get the start against the Tigers, who have allowed 114.5 rushing yards per game this season.
