NCAA Game Summary - ULM at Florida Atlantic

(Saturday, December 3rd)

Final Score: ULM 26, Florida Atlantic 0

Fort Lauderdale, FL (Sports Network) - Kolton Browning threw for two touchdowns and Jyruss Edwards ran for two, as the ULM Warhawks closed out their season with a 26-0 win over Sun Belt Conference foe Florida Atlantic at FAU Stadium.

Edwards ran for 94 yards, while Browning threw for 183 for the Warhawks (4-8, 3-5 SBC), who had lost four of five entering today's contest.

Graham Wilbert had a brutal day under center for the Owls (1-11, 0-8), as he completed only 11-of-27 passes for 79 yards and an interception. It marked the final game for FAU head coach Howard Schnellenberger, who announced prior to the season that this would be the last season of his 52-year coaching career. His Owls avoided a winless season by beating UAB last week.

Browning gave ULM a 6-0 lead on his 12-yard touchdown pass to Luther Ambrose at the 2:04 mark of the first quarter, capping a 14-play, 80-yard drive.

Edwards made it a 12-0 game with a 67-yard touchdown run with 10:06 remaining in the second quarter. Kicker Justin Manton missed the extra-point attempt after each of the first two TDs.

However, he redeemed himself after Edwards' one-yard touchdown run with just under four minutes to play until halftime, which made it a 19-0 game.

Browning accounted for the only points of the second half with a one-yard touchdown pass to Kevin Steed midway through the fourth quarter, as FAU never threatened.

The Owls managed just 148 yards of total offense for the game, compared to 424 total yards for ULM.
