NCAA Game Summary - Utah State at San Diego State

San Diego, CA (Sports Network) - Ryan Lindley connected on 17-of-24 passes for 362 yards with three touchdowns and one interception as the San Diego State Aztecs cruised to a 41-7 victory over the Utah State Aggies in non-conference action.

Vincent Brown hauled in five receptions for 177 yards and two touchdowns in the victory for San Diego State (3-1).

Diondre Borel completed 14-of-31 passes for 130 yards with no touchdowns and one interception in defeat for Utah State (1-3).

San Diego State wasted no time establishing its dominance, as the team led 21-0 by the end of the first quarter. Ronnie Hillman scored on a one-yard run, Walter Kazee had a five-yard touchdown scamper, and Lindley tossed a 28-yard scoring strike to Bryce Quigley.

The only points of the second quarter came on a 65-yard touchdown pass from Lindley to Brown, pushing the Aztecs' advantage to 28-0.

In the third quarter, Utah State finally got on the board, cutting its deficit to 28-7 with a seven-yard touchdown run by Derrvin Speight.

Lindley and Brown answered with another long touchdown connection for San Diego State, this time an 82-yard pitch and catch that gave SDSU a 35-7 advantage.

Abel Perez nailed a 20-yard field goal for the Aztecs late in the third quarter and hit a 37-yarder with just under two minutes left in the fourth frame, bringing the score to its final of 41-7.

San Diego State has won eight straight meetings with Utah State, although the programs hadn't squared off since 1977 prior to tonight's affair.
