South Bend, IN (Sports Network) - Robert Hughes scored on a one-yard run in
overtime to give the Notre Dame Fighting Irish a thrilling 37-30 victory over
the Washington Huskies in a non-conference affair at Notre Dame Stadium.
Fighting Irish signal-caller Jimmy Clausen completed 23-of-31 passes for 422
yards and a pair of scores to lead Notre Dame (4-1) in the win and Golden Tate
hauled in nine catches for a whopping 244 yards and a touchdown as well for
Jake Locker threw for 281 yards and a touchdown to lead Washington (2-3) in
the losing effort, while Chris Polk gained 136 yards on the ground for the
Huskies. Jermaine Kearse grabbed eight catches for 94 yards and a touchdown in
