Fargo, ND (SportsNetwork.com) - TrayVonn Wright paced four teammates in double figures with 15 points, as the North Dakota State Bison downed the IUPU-Fort Wayne Mastodons, 69-58, in a Summit League matchup at Bison Sports Arena.
Taylor Braun poured in 14 points for NDSU (18-6, 7-2 Summit), which has won two in a row and seven of eight. Kory Brown tallied 13 points, seven assists, six rebounds and four steals for the hosts, while Lawrence Alexander scored 11 points.
Steve Forbes had a game-high 17 points for IPFW (18-8, 6-3), which snapped a three-game winning streak. Luis Jacobo chipped in 12 points.
NDSU shot 41.9 percent from the field in the first half, just barely better than IPFW's 40.9 percent effort, but the Bison attempted seven more shots than their opponent and carried a 32-26 lead into intermission.
The Bison never surrendered their advantage in the second half, as they improved their field goal percentage to .560 over the final 20 minutes and cruised to the 11-point victory.
IPFW committed 16 turnovers, which NDSU converted into 22 points. The Bison had just 10 miscues themselves.
