Nashville, TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Craig Bradshaw netted 17 points as the Belmont Bruins held on for a 64-62 win over the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles in an Ohio Valley Conference tilt at the Curb Events Center.
J.J. Mann added 14 points and six rebounds for Belmont (10-6, 2-0 OVC). Evan Bradds chipped in 10 points.
Jeremiah Samarrippas led the Golden Eagles (8-9, 1-1) with 16 points. Dennis Ogbe tallied 14 points and seven rebounds in the setback.
The Bruins took a 29-23 lead into the intermission despite knocking down only 2-of-11 shots from beyond the arc in the first half. TTU trailed after it converted just 40 percent of its field goal attempts in the opening 20 minutes of the contest.
The Golden Eagles rallied back by sinking 57.9 percent of their shots from the floor including 5-of-8 from 3-point range in the second half. Belmont was limited to just 52.4 percent of its field goal tries, but drained 10-of-13 at the free-throw line to keep TTU at bay.
In the closely contested OVC matchup, the Golden Eagles held a narrow, 28-27, edge in the rebounding battle.
