NCAA Game Summary - Georgia Tech at Boston College

Chestnut Hill, MA (Sports Network) - Matt Humphrey led the way with 13 points as the Boston College Eagles downed the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 56-52, in an ACC bout at the Conte Forum.

Ryan Anderson added 10 points for the Eagles (9-20, 4-11 ACC).

For the Yellow Jackets (10-19, 3-12), Daniel Miller finished with 13 points and Kammeon Holsey scored 12 points.

BC shot well to start the game, connecting on 50 percent of its field goals, including 5-of-11 from three-point range. Georgia Tech struggled, making only 37 percent, and missed all put one of its seven three-point attempts. The Eagles went into halftime leading 33-22.

Both teams struggled with their shooting in the second half. The Yellow Jackets made just 38.2 percent from the field, including only 3-of-11 from beyond the arc. The Eagles shot just 33.3 percent, but did make 5-of-13 three-pointers. After trailing by as many as 17 points in the second half, Georgia Tech was able to cut its deficit to just two points, 54-52, with 2:21 to play, but it would not score again in the contest, as the Eagles held on for the victory.

Georgia Tech dominated in the paint, outscoring BC 34-14. The Yellow Jackets also held a 34-29 rebounding advantage.
