Vermillion, SD (Sports Network) - Brooks Ybarra hit two foul shots with four seconds remaining to give the Texas State Bobcats a 93-92 win over the South Dakota Coyotes in a BracketBuster game at the DakotaDome.
Ybarra scored a career-high 29 points for the Bobcats (11-15), who have won three of their last four. Von Jones added 18 points, Reid Koenen 17 and Matt Staff 15. Travis Jones collected eight rebounds while Jones handed out five assists.
Louie Krogman scored a career-high 37 points for the Coyotes (9-17), who have lost three straight. Trevor Gruis added 23 points and 15 rebounds while Charlie Westbrook contributed 18 points.
South Dakota led 47-40 at the break after shooting a crackling 56.3 percent from the floor in the opening half. Texas State shot just 34.3 percent from the floor.
The Bobcats heated up in the second half, shooting an even 50 percent from the floor, including 7-of-14 from long range. Texas State led by as many as 13 but the hosts rallied to take a 92-91 lead with 13 seconds left to set up the finish. Krogman missed a three-pointer for the Coyotes at the buzzer.
Texas State was guilty of just nine turnovers.
