NCAA Game Summary - Wofford at Appalachian State

Boone, NC (Sports Network) - Brad Loesing scored a game-high 16 points, leading four players in double figures, as the Wofford Terriers slipped by the Mountaineers of Appalachian State, 66-64, in Southern Conference play at the Holmes Center.
Kevin Giltner added 13 points for the Terriers (16-11, 9-6 SoCon), followed by Lee Skinner and Drew Crowell with 11 and 10 points, respectively, the latter adding nine rebounds as the team snapped a three-game slide.
The Mountaineers (10-15, 6-9) were paced by Mike Neal who dropped in 15 points, although he shot just 6-of-12 at the free-throw line. Tab Hamilton tacked on 11 points and Andre Williamson 10 and six boards as the squad bowed for the fourth time in the last five outings.
Wofford led by as many as five points in the first half, but without making a single trip to the free-throw line in the period the team had to settle for just a 27-25 edge at the break.
In the second half the Terriers did make it to the charity stripe a total of 17 times, but with just nine conversions the team had to hold on for the close call.
Wofford, which turned the ball over 14 times, easily won the battle of the boards, 39-25, as it limited ASU to a mere four offensive rebounds.
