Atlanta, GA (Sports Network) - Glen Rice Jr. tallied 11 points and collected eight rebounds off the bench to lead the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets to a 51-47 win over the Boston College Eagles in a Atlantic Coast Conference bout at Phillips Arena.
The duo of Kammeon Holsey and Daniel Miller added 10 points apiece for Georgia Tech (9-14, 2-7 ACC). The win snapped a six-game losing streak for the Yellow Jackets.
Matt Humphrey scored 15 points to pace Boston College (7-16, 2-7), while Lonnie Jackson finished with 10 points and Ryan Anderson pulled down a game- high 11 rebounds. The Eagles have now lost six in a row.
The Eagles were kept in check to the tune of 30.4 percent from the floor during the opening 20 minutes, but a 34.8 percent shooting effort from Georgia Tech left the Yellow Jackets with just a 20-19 halftime lead.
The Yellow Jackets hit 46.2 percent of their attempts from the field during the second stanza, and a 5-of-6 effort at the foul line helped to stave a late Boston College rally and preserve a four-point victory.
The Eagles were guilty of a game-high 14 turnovers during the contest.
