Lewisburg, PA (Sports Network) - Bryson Johnson connected on 9-of-15 shots from three-point range, finishing with a game-high 27 points as the Bucknell Bison posted an 87-50 win over the West Alabama Tigers as part of the Legends Classic at Sojka Pavilion.
Also scoring in double figures for the Bison (4-2) were Cameron Ayers with 20 points, Ben Brackney 12 in 13 minutes off the bench and Joe Willman 10 points in the triumph.
The only double-digit scorer for the Tigers (1-5) was Phillip Morris with 11 points, adding six rebounds and three assists in the losing cause.
Bucknell scored the first points of the afternoon and never looked back, converting an impressive 58.1 percent from the floor and an even better 9- of-14 (.643) beyond the arc, en route to a 48-25 advantage at the break.
In the second half West Alabama made a total of just eight field goals and 3- of-12 behind the three-point line, as the Tigers fell hard in the 37-point setback.
The Bison finished with a 46-33 rebounding advantage and also connected on a staggering 17-of-34 from three-point range.
