NCAA Game Summary - Niagara vs. Sam Houston State

Macon, GA (Sports Network) - Juan'ya Green scored five points during a game- ending run Niagara used to knock off Sam Houston State, 59-52, in the final night of the CBE Classic.
Niagara went on a 9-2 run over the final five minutes of play, a stretch Green started with a three-pointer and ended with two free throws. He paced the Purple Eagles (2-3) with 20 points and Antoine Mason added 15 points and seven rebounds. Marvin Jordan contributed 10 points and five rebounds to the win.
Marcus James led Sam Houston State (1-4) with 14 points and nine rebounds, but had eight turnovers. Michael Holyfield contributed 13 points and eight boards.
The Bearkats led for much of the first half. But Skylar Jones gave the Purple Eagles a 24-23 lead with 4:38 to go with a layup, and Niagara ended the half with a 26-25 edge.
Niagara built a 43-36 lead in the second half, but the Bearkats fought back to tie the game.
Konner Tucker drained a three-pointer to even the game at 50 with just over five minutes to play, but the Purple Eagles' defense clamped down the rest of the way. Sam Houston State's only two points during the stretch came on free throws by James.
