Fort Worth, TX (Sports Network) - Ricky Franklin netted 19 points and the Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers used a big second half to capture a 69-60 victory over the Colgate Raiders in the consolation round of the NIT Season Tip-Off at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
Franklin made good on 2-of-3 shots from long range and 7-of-9 at the foul line for UWM (4-2), which won its third consecutive decision. Lonnie Boga made 4- of-5 shots from downtown and finished with 17 points off the bench, while James Eayrs posted a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds in the win.
Kyle Roemer led the Raiders (0-4) with a game-high 26 points on 9-of-12 field goals and 5-of-6 three-pointers. Anthony Hill also finished in double figures, with 10 points.
UWM made just 29.6 percent of its attempts from the floor in the first half and trailed 26-23 at the break.
The Panthers turned things around over the final 20 minutes, shooting a sizzling 65.2 percent from the floor and going 6-of-8 from behind the arc for the nine-point win.
UWM enjoyed success from long distance, connecting on 10-of-22 opportunities for the game.
