No. 4 Stanford thumps No. 14 Arizona State
Tempe, AZ (SportNetwork.com) - Chiney Ogwumike had a game-high 30 points and 16 rebounds as fourth-ranked Stanford cruised past No. 14 Arizona State, 80-56.
Taylor Greenfield posted 14 points, five rebounds and four assists, while Lili Thompson added 11 points and four helpers for the Cardinal (17-1, 6-0 Pac-12), who shot 54.4 percent in the game.
Stanford has won 60 straight road conference games.
Katie Hempen had 13 points and Sophie Brunner gave 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Sun Devils (15-3, 4-2), who had won four straight.
A 16-2 run early in the first half helped Stanford take control of the game, and the team held a 35-28 lead at the break.
Stanford made 57.6 percent of its buckets in the second half, leading by as many as 27 points, while holding Arizona State to just 32.4 percent shooting in the second half.
