The Sao Paulo Indy 300 on the streets of Sao Paulo, Brazil is the fourth race on the 2013 IZOD IndyCar Series schedule.

This is the fourth straight year that Sao Paulo, which is the largest city in South America, has hosted an IndyCar race. Will Power has won the first three races there (2010-2012). Surprisingly, Power has not scored a victory in the series since last year's event in Brazil. The Team Penske driver had been dominant on the road/street courses.

Dario Franchitti, the four-time IndyCar champion, is the only driver other than Power to finish in the top-10 in all three races in Brazil.

Three drivers entered in this year's race are from Brazil: Ana Beatriz, Helio Castroneves and Tony Kanaan. Beatriz and Castroneves are from Sao Paulo, while Kanaan hails from Salvador. Other South American drivers competing in this race include: Sebastian Saavedra (Bogota, Columbia) and E.J. Viso (Caracas, Venezuela).

From 1996-2000, the CART Series competed at Emerson Fittipaldi Speedway in Rio De Janeiro.

The next race is the 97th running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 26. Franchitti won last year's race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
