Nelson Figueroa earned the win after allowing five hits and two runs over four innings.

Martin Prado totaled two hits and an RBI, while Pablo Sandoval also drove in a run for Venezuela (0-2), which takes on Spain on Sunday.

Tied at 2-2 in the fifth, Martin Maldonado led off with a walk, moved up on a sacrifice bunt and scored on Angel Pagan's base hit to give Puerto Rico the lead for good.
